i think i was at the wrong meet, because i only saw one X5 blue 4.8 there other than mine. all the other cars were 3,5,6,7,8, series and some z series i didn't even see a X6. anyway the show was good saw some realy hot 3 and 5 series. also got some spacers front 10mm rear 20mm all for $120, brand new aluminium, and a full set of extended lug bolts. lucky me again. now all i need is the LeMans fender flares.

Wow. You seem to always get lucky at these meets. I really wish I could have gone. I'll have to make sure NOT to plan any more of my son's birthday parties on ANY BMW meet days! ;)

fraserp 06-19-2010 10:30 PM

Yep -- went to meeting place of caravan crew 24202 douglaston.ect. about 8:40 no one there so had to drive down all by my lonesome (boohoo). got there about 12:30 i was only X 5 then later a blue 4.8 showed up i parked next to it never saw who drove it. my exhaust turned a few heads and got a few compliments which made the mod-bug bite-- lol. so now i am shopping for this-n-that. would like to do a few things before the november meet.

Great to see L again, and meet Kyzrsose!

Sorry, V&I could only hang for an hour & half...the granddaughter's
7th Birthday party, with ~20 kids in attendance, was an arodous affair,
to say the least,.

Couple pics, and more behind these...wish I could have shot every cool
car there, as there were a bunch. L's X6 is a freakin Monster!
That's Baron/Kyzrsose driving L's, no hands! And, Baron, Laura and Veronica.
Best Regards, mD

It was great to see you and V. Baron and I would have had a great ride home if it wasn't for those damn weekend warriors on the pike.

FWIW - In the last pic I was listening to Jst tell me why he was going to the beach instead of coming to meet us :dunno:

I would have a much better ride home if I had a X6 7RR.....

Oh, and the gas station line was ridiculously long when I stopped.....

Mr. and Mrs. motor...great to meet you as well....Glad you were able to make a quick pit stop before the grandkids visit. I will accept no excuse's for the next visit, ;).

L, well, what can I say...that car (err...SAV) is a monster (but the good kind of monster.) Great to see you as well. There were a few times when I saw your bumper starting to travel away from me on the highway...and the sad whining sound of my naturally aspirated V8, with 90 less horses, screaming to keep up...

I will officially refer to your motorwerks as the Tyrannosaurus re(X)

I thought about stopping with you but the thought of having to pass everyone we did yet again was too much for me.

And there was absolutely no reason for all that traffic. Just the warriors hogging the left lane and pacing themselves with the cars next to them. Once I managed to get ahead of the pack, it wasn't too bad. It broke at exit 8.
