well damn. I wish I read this months ago when I bought the new designed CCV hose with the external CCV in it. I have the '05 X5 where the cyl head covers still have the CCV built in and I was told to buy this hose with the external CCV built in too, so I'd actually have 2 CCV's for that cylinder head cover. D'OH.
Funny how I never stumbled upon this thread when I was doing reserach for my E53,. but I did when I was google searching for my E31.
