Sorry for the confusion. I recently bought the X used with 19' rims on it. It needed tires, they were worn and showing some uneven wear on the front. The dealer had a special buy 4 tires and get a free alignment so I got 4 new Mic Latitude ZP run flats. During the alignment they found lower ball joints and strut arms needed repair. So they did that as well. They also discovered that the rims are not the correct fit, and it would need hub rings. So we did that. I pick the x up last week and @ 30 I start to feel a vibration, 40 the wheel is dancing back and forth. From past experience I'm thinking wheel balance since it's speed related. I call the dealer and I get, "well you no these are the incorrect rims" they may shake. They have it now, but I suspect they are trying to get me to purchase new 19" with the correct hub size. I don't have experience using hub rings? do they balance them with the rims during the rim and tire balancing process?
Also I looked at the position of the wheel weights and I was surprised that the weight is right at the TPS sensor, not the opposite side. I still suspect wheel balancing, I told the advisor make sure they put the wheel with the lowest amount of weights on the front. She looked at me like I had 2 heads, and handed me the sheet with new rims to pick out. So being in Hawaii we only have 1 dealer, I just spent 5k for new tires, suspension, and changing fluids. I think I got hosed, but its water under the bridge at this point, I don't have my tools or garage to make repairs. I wish I was back in Warren bobby I'd be hitting you up for lots of weekend projects!
