I took a look at the inside of the cover for the engine harness and found that the wires connecting to the throttle body were oxidized and cracking. Respliced and soldered the wires together and wrapped them in heatshrink tubing and just took it for a 40 mile trip, no hesitation/stalling/check engine light. throttle response is much better than ever aswell.
