I am torn between these two cars. I know it isn't a fair comparison since I am looking at the 35i and cross shopping it with the Cayenne S.
On the used market the 2011 Cayenne S are around 5k more than the X5 35i. There are many pros and cons with each vehicle, but I can't decide on one. X5 seems to be more comfortable and price point is cheaper, whereas the Cayenne has a nicer interior , "newer" (because of 2011 model change) and potentially use more gas because of it's v8.
I am not exactly sure why I have not considered the 50i, but I feel that the 35i has sufficient power already. For the Cayenne, I've only considered the S model. I always felt that the regular 6 cyl Cayenne was way under powered. (just like my E53 3.0 lol)
I've searched through older threads but the Cayenne S is mainly compared with the x5 50i.
X5 35i I'm mainly looking at a car with comfort seat, navigation and technology package. (torn between M-package because it doesn't have heated steering wheel)
Cayenne S - Many of them don't even have pano roof option. The 14 way or 18 way is great, but 90% of used ones only have the regular seats which I don't like.
You guys will probably think I am crazy comparing these two vehicles, I think I am crazy too but I like both. BMW for better value and Porsche for its aesthetics.
