Not sure if it'll work for you as I may have gotten lucky, but I didn't use any puller to remove my front axles when I replaced them.

The inner splines just pop out from the diff with only minor effort with a small pry-bar, and the outer splines in the hubs only required a few smacks with a 5 pound soft mallet and brass drift. I would imagine you'd only need a puller if your splines are rusty, damaged, or neglected. If that's the case, a standard large 3-jaw puller will usually pop them loose well enough to finish driving them out with a mallet. Good luck.
