A good day and an uncompensated plug:

Bought the ECS Tuning LED light kit for my E53 (Kit is ES2580290) and found the installation has gotten even easier.

The kit says it includes ES2549917 bulbs for the front and rear dome lights (3 each, the center one was a little too big for the hole and required removing the lens to install).

The kit I received this week included bulbs labeled 2549916 for the dome lights and they are small enough to fit in all positions of the dome lights without removing the lens! YAY.

Two of the existing puddle lights were crazy hot when I went to remove them- hard to know if something was wrong with them or if someone "upgraded" to a higher watt bulb, but I am happy to have dodged that bullet.

Lights are bright white and brighter overall. Really brightens things up and makes getting the kiddies belted into the back much easier (I am pretty sure I could live without interior lighting if it was just for me...). The sun visor lights (vanity mirror lights) are MUCH brighter. I imagine the boss will be happy with that.

I don't have rear footwell lights (do have rear door puddle lights), so I ended up with 2 extra of the 36mm festoon lights.
