Usually, the easiest way is to put hood in service position, remove front of car (fenders stay in place), disconnect all engine trans wiring, hoses, etc, slightly lift engine and roll it out the front of the car.

Way too difficult to remove trans if engine is coming out anyway.

I did this on an E46, never a E70 but in theory the process is the same.
