How do you do an E70 4.8 engine change?

I am considering purchasing a 2007 E70 4.8 that has a bad engine. (Jumped time)
I've been searching for information on what the actual process is for doing an engine change and if it is something an individual can do without a lift?
I've done several older GMs, Boat motors, smaller foreign cars etc but never anything like the E70. From what I see on-line for the E53, people are removing the front end and fenders and pulling the engine and transmission all at the same time as opposed to splitting the engine/transmission and then removing just the engine, which is how I would think to do it.
Any help greatly appreciated.
