I have a 2004 X5 E53 3.0L. Couple of years ago I installed AVIN aftermarket Unit but it died last month. Decided not to go with Chinese models and installed Pioneer Apple Carplay Unit. Overall much happier except for the AM/FM reception. The reception is very poor. Could not get many stations I used to get before with AVIN unit or the standard BMW radio before.

Using the Metra Harness 70-9003 to connect to Pioneer wire.
