Did a search on this w/o any luck. I'm doing a transmission fluid/filter change per DIY on this site (2006 x5 3.0i auto). The filter kit from Pelican Parts came with a pan gasket but noticed the pan I took off doesn't have one (or it appears to be kinda built into pan). It looks like it was mostly just metal-on-metal. The gasket looks like it fits - i assume i should use right on top of the old one, right? Or do I need to find a different gasket or just put it back on with the original only? Thanks!
