Had I not had my CPO warranty, my repairs costs out of pocket would have exceeded over $15k, in the last 8 months. BMW dealerships aren't known to pad the repairs or costs. Customer's have to fight to have things covered. My last CPO BMW warranty covered almost everything, much more than my present vehicle.
It's my wife's vehicle and she loves it. It only makes sense to purchase another extended service plan if we plan to keep it.
Your BMW dealer is fine with grabbing money from BMWNA via the CPO.

As long as they can document 'fault says X; BMW computer says replace Y; BMWNA will pay us $z" they are happy to keep squeezing.

While some people have trouble with dealers cover stuff, some dealers have well oiled warranty coordinators who just pound claims through BMW. Its odd, but you can see a wide variability in how different dealers (and even different SAs) operate

I too would be concerned with what happens after the CPO is done, given your lack of car skills and reliance on the BMW dealer. As I wrote elsewhere, there are few options for good 'warranty' coverage for extended- extended warranties (ie the warranty after the first extended 6/100 expires.)
