you understand that the 'certified' is a sham visual inspection, and an exteded warranty? Tires and brakes over 50% and a glossy detail.
DO NOT assume that the car has no issues.
It can have been in an accident; it can have had major repairs done poorly. (Worse if any repairs that were missed by the BMW delaer cause issues later, BMW will deny warranty coverage.)
Next, if the wheels were painted, you would think the BMW CPO would say "non stock wheels"..Nope, BMWNA will refuse to do anything. I recall this issue coming up in another thread
Ive also heard of dealers slapping pads only on a car to get it to CPO- and not replacing rotors. Ive also heard of them passing stuff under 50%, then the owner comes back and they say "hey, was fine when we inspected it."
Why not have a qualified shop do an inspection? Pay some money. Get a very critical eye on it. BMW dealers are some of the worst places for PPIs. Their job is to sell cars, not crap over the deals for their fellow dealers in the area....
Typically only the best cherries get CPOd- costs the dealer less to do it. BUT- not always. Some dogs get into the CPO and BMWNA will NOT stand with you if the dealer is cutting corners.
