Hi guys,

First time posting. My '06 4.4 had some water get into the LCM and as expected it has given up on me. New units being as expensive as they are, I'm interested in buying a used one.

I know about the storage of data on the LCM and the redundancies with the Kombi, but I have read that any used unit can be coded to what ever you like it to (VIN and Mileage). Is this true? My mechanic uses GT1, but I've heard that it can be done with NCSExpert. If it is true and you can code a used part to your vehicle (without the tampering dot come up), will GT1 be able to do it?

Wanting to get this fixed ASAP so I thought I'd ask the people in the know.
