I have an old 01,x5 with the biz class sound system. Not the dsp. Years ago I purchased a mediabridge and kept all functionality. Than, about 6 months ago the MID had a short. I set the MID to CD pack in the trunk and than disconnected the MID. It works beautifully with my iphone 4, 5 and 6. All the functions and no more short issues for about 150.bucks, minus the iphone.
