Hmm. I replied in the other thread.... There are DIYs posted here and on Bimmerfest...how DID you miss the 'needs to be running' part?

Good on you for doing a 2x drain and fill- the ATF level between the two isnt that critical. When I did it, I drove 25 miles and it was probably a half L low. No big deal. Then I drained and did a refill trying to get it exact. PITA as the trans gets hot quickly....
