The shop I took it to cleared the code, turned the vehicle back on and without moving it, the code popped up again so it's definitely electronic.

Hey Gofast, did you made any conclusion with your issue? Have the same issue, I scanned the transmission and i am getting the EDS5 at fault. I replaced the EDS5 but fault still the same. Right now, I am suspecting the transmission control module is bad.
