But thanks for getting back on topic, those look nice for secure storage.
What I was trying to go for was more like the weapon box that fits the door like on the E70 Security Model. I always carry IWB at 5 o'clock and would like to not have to reveal and transfer the pistol to another location on the car when getting in and out. It would be much easier to have a dedicated pistol for the car.
I like the highway holster for quick deployment, when driving. I also am thinking about molding a slim compartment to the left side of the center console, near my right knee so it'd be easy to grab with my right hand. This is mainly for when I'm in the car.
Then I'd transfer the pistol to the door type, or other lockbox under the seat for when car is parked.

We can assume responsibility for our own safety but it is not a requirement. We have policemen that are armed and trained to determine when deadly force is necessary.
