Hi all,
I returned to my parked car last week to find that someone had somehow damaged my driver's door. There's been a sharp impact on the molding, as there's a visible notch in it, but the main prole is that enough pressure has been applied to force the metal of the door inwards into a shallow bowl. It's not huge, and my wife tells me that it's hardly noticeable...but she's wrong. It's ruined the lines of the car, and it needs sorting.
So, some advice please. I reckon I can pull/push this misshapen panel back into its proper shape, but what's my best option? Here are my 3 thoughts so far:
1. Remove the inner door panel to allow me to push the dent out. Main problem here, having watched some youtube videos about the door panels is that even with it off, I don't think I'm going to have access to the outer skin due to all the gear inside the door

which leaves me with the 'pull' options:

2. Pry off the molding at the point of impact and slide something behind it to pull with, or

3. Screw a small screw into the molding that I can get hold of with pliers to pull on

I've never attempted anything like this before, and this might all be utter madness, so I'm throwing it out there for your collective thoughts and ideas please.
Are there any other potential solutions that I'm missing?
