bmrboi2 - when you say "firewall separator" are you talking about the infamous bulkhead engine partitions that crack/fail and commonly leak water onto injector #5? If so, this is obviously another reason to keep an eye on those items.

Years ago I read on one of the forums about the bulkhead partitions, and I fixed that problem before any damage to the injectors. However, I've had occasional blower motor squealing (particularly in cold weather when braking, of all things), and I've been able to reach in with a long oil hose and successfully treat the squeaky wheel. Now it makes sense that the initial injury may be related to the cracked engine partitions.
