Perhaps they threw in a new DME because and didn't realize that you need to get the EWS module align with the DME.
I'm not really sure. It sounds to me like the seller is just throwing parts at it, new battery, alternator and starter, and someone told him the DME likely was't aligned with the EWS. Either way he doesn't seem interested in dealing with it any longer. I'm going to order a key programmer first, get a new key made and see if that solves it. I've asked him twice how many keys he has and he never answered. Communication has been by email only and he waits a long time to reply. It's very weird. Going in with both eyes open. KBB is only $3500 on this rig and I told him I couldn't go over 1k and he said he would accept that but I need to see it first.
