Just a follow up...

Wanted to say thanks for the advice (this thread and others). Since mine is up and running and appears to be doing well (constantly looking at all the fluids and numbers - fuel trim, operating temps, etc) I went ahead and got this taken care of.

Alignment shop looked at me funny when I started asking how they normally set an X5 and what I was looking for, based on your posts (didn't tell them that part ). But, they did comply and things are much nicer now. Noticeable difference in handling, but mostly because I hadn't worried too much about this maint. since other issues were more important/not a daily driver/etc.
