I love that bug! Drove me nuts until I figured out cure!

You need to lock and unlock the car from outside with the key not remote.

This would happen to me frequently and I would have to hit my memory button to restore the seat but the next time I would open with the remote fob the seat would be back in some weird place I moved to fit a box in the back or such.

I would roll down my window and do it from inside the car otherwise I would never remember and back to strange position again
