There is a thread in one of the BMW forums dedicated to the BMW software package issues and how to. It has been mentioned here.
If I recall correctly there is a setting I had to go back and correct to get it to link.
I don't use the suite anymore as there are other instruments that are great at diagnostics, easy to use, and very intuitive but there several members do and there have been threads about install issues.
