New 02221 504 470 made in solvenia coil works in my E46 330i but NOT in my E70 n62tu X5. Yep that X5 is always a challenge.

My 2007 E70 4.8l X5 has a production date of 11/2006.
It last saw a BMW seller ship service via prior owner in 2014 so one might think it's software was last updated then.

my X5 has 140K miles on it 40K of which I have put on it in last five years.
My goal is to have the X5 last five more years without big $$$ problem putting maybe 5000 miles a year on it. It is my boat tow vehicle otherwise I mostly use my E46.

So E46 likes the new coils the E70 does not!

Also to unicorn the spark plug I replaced on cylinder 5 in my BMW is a Autolite APP 5224 Double Platinum. It was much cheaper than bosch oem ones and given I only ask 50K miles it seemed better to use that. So I see no misses now my conclusion the autolites are fine .... I love to find the truh. Will report back with what bosch corporate says
