As a general, I dropped off the truck last night to have this issue addressed. The representative informed me that she would have no word about the guide plate and rather fix an unrelated safety recall regarding an airbag sensor. I told her there are two references; one from BMW NA and one from the NHTSA stating my truck has the transmission with the known faulty guide plate. She didn’t want to hear one word about it and refused to look up the SIB. I told her that the appointment was for this guide plate and the two follow up emails were for the guide plate. Nope, here’s your loaner, we’ll call you when your airbag is done.

I just got off the phone with BMW NA and they are a bit perplexed how this was handled and will hear from someone in a few days.
