The pressure bleeder is an absolute must for a simple flushing of the brake fluid from an old system.

The one thing that petrifies me is bleeding the brakes the old pump up and push out with the brake pedal. I know my master cylinder is now 16 years old and has never seen the bottom 70% of travel so shoving the pedal down into the abyss of contaminates could cause some seal damage.

Not to mention the bore is probably a lot tighter down there after 16 years of movement at the top 30%. I have read some horror stories after a simple brake bleed turning into master cylinder and brake booster failures.
