Welp.
Any warranty that you can buy for a car with over 100k miles is likely crap. It appears you have found one, and YOU THINK the only issue is "it doesn't cover the computer".... I be willing to bet there is far far more to worry about with that warranty.
(Ive personally reviewed detailed policies for perhaps 30+ warranties, over the years)
If you have a copy of the policy, post it.
Now, dont take this next part wrong...but... these are not cheap cars. They cost $65k. And while you can buy one with 100k miles for $6k now, the REPAIR costs are still as if it is a $65k car. The idea that you can buy a warranty to protect is just silly. Are you watching Chris Berman and Ice T selling that carp Car Shield!!? (What are you gonna do when the trans dies in 6 months, and the rep says yeah, our tests show it had been failoing for a while and that means it was a pre-existing defect, not covered'? My point here is that you think you know what is covered, but there is a vast way for you to be screwed.)
If you cant afford repair costs, buy a different car. Japanese. Not BMW.
If you think you can swing it. If you are a DIYer, or you have fmily that can, save your $$ and put it into a repair fund. Spend a bit more on a car with history. and take your time finding that perfect, well maintained, no-story car.
