Well, be sure to get your bunker ready for January when Trump has to hand the reigns over. I'm all for America first and draining the swamp. Trump achieved neither. Nor do I believe that was ever really his goal

I agree with much of your sentiment. I can't wait for him to be gone either. My gripe is always that people pick sides and decide theirs is good and the other is bad. No one way of thinking is the correct way 100% of the time. Sometimes a liberal approach is probably best while sometimes a conservative approach is probably best in the best interest of the general public. And sometimes a combination of the two ideals. Compromise, with an end goal of improving the lives of the citizenry.
Trump is no more evil (politically that is, humanly he is a POS) than Obama or Bush II or Clinton was. They are all corrupted by a life in politics and not having to participate in regular society with the rest of us. Washington has it's own society and it wants to keep it that way. Obama did not fulfill some of his campaign promises either. Some that I was very interested in him doing (ending spying on American citizens and having a more transparent administration comes to mind).
The system really and truly is corrupt. Trump's errors will be corrected by the next administration, all while making entirely new ones in the interest of their corporate and special interest overlords. The only thing not "correctable" is the Supreme Court, but given their recent decisions against Trump, they are at least giving off the air of respecting their SC seat and voting following the Constitution. *Fingers crossed*
