Just had a buddy run into FRM issues.,due to a left headlight issue. After screwing around with ballasts, wiring questions, coding, etc. He took it to the dealer, as they had replaced the headlight during a collision repair a few years ago.
. They could get the light to work when hooked up to their software, but not through the car.
Told him they suspected it was the FRM, but weren't sure. However, FRMs can only be coded to a single car. After that they are useless to other vehicles. So if he ordered one for $480,it was not returnable if it didn't solve his issue.
He found a YouTube video, hooked up inpa or insta and reset the FRM, and all was well.
