The repair facility's "we goofed up" insurance (Malpractice) were really very good about everything. It was the wait leading up to them getting involved that was the worst part. The insurance called me once the claim was put in, heard my tale of woe, suggested a rental on their tab and cut the claim check to their insured within a week to get the ball rolling.
This was a very "spendy" five months that could have been shortened with hindsight. I was just the cork in the storm getting tossed to and fro without any control.
No lawyers were hurt during this period.
