E53 X5 3.0i (First Gen) Speedometer Lag Upon Start Up?
For my E53 X5 3.0i, ever since I've had the lamp/light control module replaced, everything seems to be working just fine except for one thing.
I've noticed that only when starting up the car after the car has been off for a considerable amount of time (2-3 hours), if I put the car in drive and accelerate, the speedometer for whatever reason stays on 0 mph & does not kick in and show the speed that I am going until about 15-30 seconds after accelerating.
But, for the remainder of the time that the car is on, the speedometer then works perfectly and just as it should.
Having said this, it just strikes me as odd that this "speedometer speed lag" of 15-30 seconds only happens for the first 15-30 seconds after turning on the car when I go to accelerate, and then the speedometer will work perfectly for the remainder of the time that I am driving.
Does anyone have any insight as to what could be causing this "speedometer speed lag" that only occurs for 15-30 seconds upon the initial start up of the car?
Thanks in advance!
