Lucky for you I usually read all new threads in e70 and e53 forum so I saw that thread and remembered it.

So you just need to follow the cookbook I think you are well on your way to getting a much newer engine into that 4.8 and reset the clock and add many years.

I am very big on repair vs. replace so I'm very much behind your project.
