Wow on the 3.0 newer model. The e70 30 gets worse mpg than wife's 50i!

I need to replace my 01 e53 (killed by deer) but budget will keep my grounded to another e53.

I saw an 08 that is possible so I may squeak into an e70 but n52 I think which prob will be very similar mpg to my EX five (I made that up the other day).
