Weirdly I have the same problem just recently here in California too right after I did my valve cover gaskets. I believe the coolant bleed procedure is just let the car run with the cap off and the heater at 84.0F at low settings.

I have replaced the AUX coolant pump, but still little to no heat. Weird.
