diamond key shell (replacement for funky original) is ready to use

I recently replied to another post concerning diamond key replacements and workarounds https://xoutpost.com/1233252-post16158.html

I ordered the diamond key shell (from https://roskinc.com/) as a test, and when I received it today (via USPS), I tried it immediately. It works on the door and ignition switch (everything but the engine came on, since there was no board or chip in place), just fine.

Now, when I need to open up my one-and-only diamond key again, I'll have this new shell ready and waiting (my original shell is a mess...shattered and glued together, looking bad, so much so that I put a silicone cover on it). All I'll need to do is transfer the chip and electronics board to it, put a new battery inside, resolder the wire I once severed, and snap the new shell together (I haven't done a test on the snap-together part yet, since I'm not wanting to pry it open for no reason).

I'm still going to get a legit second key from BMW or https://www.thebmwminipartstore.com/, since I really don't want to remove and ship my EWS to California.
