That just might have to be the best of the solutions, I played with JBweld, but it was not as easy as it sounds to make it hold the shape and release the sensor, even with separation material.
Body filler was next, and we had a heat wave of 39c-41c days...not good for trying to get that done before it went off even using the correct techniques for temperature variations.
I cant remove the panel as it is plastic welded from the back, and it hold two sensors. The left corner and left center. Plastic putty I have used when building model aircraft and it never even crossed my mind

I will do that and some astute dremel work. then the airbrush.
