I know when the weather stripping gets worn it will freeze a lot easier. If you can get some silicon on the weatherstripping that will make a huge difference. GM used to make a silicon emulsion especially for weather stripping that was excellent but I don't know if can get a hold of that still or again. Some say that silicone will ruin the weatherstripping though just so you know
