So is it the weather stripping that's freezing ??

Seems like everything on the doors and all windows. It rains and the car is wet and then it freezes over night.

I know when the weather stripping gets worn it will freeze a lot easier. If you can get some silicon on the weatherstripping that will make a huge difference. GM used to make a silicon emulsion especially for weather stripping that was excellent but I don't know if can get a hold of that still or again. Some say that silicone will ruin the weatherstripping though just so you know

Yes there is a very thin, smooth skin on the stripping and when that wears off it exposes the cells of the weatherstripping which end up holding moisture.
