Also, I seem to recall that there are a a couple smaller u shaped plastic spacers that fit onto the lip of the spoiler cover and, I presume help with a secure and rattle free fit to the base. I wasn’t expecting them to come off and get lost in the driveway.
I've used super glue on splits in rubber and it works fairly well.
