I had to first open the hatch...the round circular rubber/plastic caps need to be removed and under the caps is the 10mm nuts about 6 I think...across the top...be mindful of the electrical connections.

The rubber covers for the electrical connections may be a bid degraded by now. Mine turned out to be when I had the spoiler off for paint and to install the Sirius antenna and backup camera. One of the pieces is a little split now and doesn’t want to stay secured on the lift gate side. Going to be a pita to replace if it gets worse, and if it’s even available any longer. Be careful.

Also, I seem to recall that there are a a couple smaller u shaped plastic spacers that fit onto the lip of the spoiler cover and, I presume help with a secure and rattle free fit to the base. I wasn’t expecting them to come off and get lost in the driveway.

I've used super glue on splits in rubber and it works fairly well.
