Hmmm. Very strange problem there. This is perhaps a fruitless suggestion but have you checked all fuses, including the set in the cargo area? I would double check those. If I recall correctly, I had a problem with the MID and the radio not functioning after my installation. It turned out I had blown a fuse.

Also, re-check your connections and pay particular attention to the metal tabs that the plugs are held in by. Those darned connectors were a PITA to get unconnected and reconnected.
