And it worked fine. I did loose my DSP as decribed in that thread.

It my understanding that the RF 360 , JL CleanSweep and AC LC8 all do channel summing as well as EQ flattening. So wouldn't the above products eliminate the DSP anyways?

I was going to go the summing route but the cost and time for a worse sounding system just doesnt make sense.
If you really want an EQ, get a trunk mount one like this.Much better than factory DSP EQ.

You CAN sum channels with the 360 - but you don't have to - at least that's my understanding.

I agree that if you're going to sum channels you might as well just bypass the DSP amp altogether - and if you do this you'll have a fairly pure signal from the HU to start with. I'm still sort of on the fence about the issue; bypassing the DSP amp is an option that's still on the table for me.

The problem with a trunk mounted EQ is that it's in the trunk. I like being able to access the EQ through the NAV screen.
