Hi guys, my X5 has now covered 14,500 miles (23,500km). At this point, the “
oil service” warning has appeared so I have booked the car in this Friday at my local dealer.
Anyhow, this is my first ever BMW service so I am a little worried that I might be taken advantage of. Like being told by the service department “you should have the $200 BMW fuel flush” and “oh yes, we recommend you change the $300 air regurgitater”.
Am I being paranoid or is it common for dealers to up-sell their servicing when you take the car in? What should I have done and is there anything I should avoid?
