davidr, when i retro fitted bt and sat nav + hybrid digital tv i eventually got my car coded, happier now that my VR can work the BT and Sat Nav

Have been using the SE W810i which shows the message envelope on on-board monitor to alert one of text messages....

if you have BT try VR for both the phone and Navigation if it all works
i would then be reluctant to get the coding done... only my ULF which is
3rd gen 961 (ULF Mit SES) was coded to the car.... ie 3er Cabrio is stated in the Telematics in the hidden submen and NOT as previously stated 7er
