My understanding is the only ability of the MP3 compatible CD Changer's is that they will show the title and track details etc.

I have a CD changer the same as you and I can play my burnt CD's but get no info just as you say CD1 and Track number.

Some CD's I have burnt dont work though, eg, JVC wont play in my CD player but Panasonic and phillips will. Though the JVC will play in my wifes car.

My understanding was the MP3 Compatible CD changer didnt come or was available till February 2006.
