The tv-in-motion cables are the way to go. They often include additional capabilities, including allowing you to change TV station via the steering wheel controls, allowing a different audio source to be listened to whilst TV is on and the ability to enable or disable the tv in motion feature via holding the clock key on the sat nav.

If you flash the firmware in the TV module, you will void the warranty on that module, should it still be in warranty.
