Actually my 700P after some initial problems has been sailing right along. What you describe is exactly the same problem i had. Part of it at least in my case was not realizing that the palms bluetooth must be turned on before starting the vehicle and secondly realizing that once the phone becomes a trusted device you must disregard additional installation instructions because they are just not necessary. But if your having trouble with the 700P follow the directions regarding removing the trusted device completly from the palm and start over with the whole process including providing the Key. That's what I did and it finally decided to work. But let me find the old notes i posted maybe they can be of some help.

OH I forgot to mention I believe my X has a Motorola ULF module which according to Palm was not suppose to work at all. So all of this may be a mute point for you but I thought i would provide the info anyway.
