Excuse me, my word choice was a bit careless:
I've been driving, with at least some regularity, xenon-equipped vehicles for 6 years, and constantly for 2.5 years:
In 2000, my Dad had picked up a then-new Acura 3.2 TL which had xenons, and I drove that quite frequently when home. My car while at UCLA, a Mustang, of course did not have xenons, you are right, it was during that time that I learned of the tremendous benefit of xenons, even if non-projector style xenons like the Acura had.
Then in August 2004 I acquired the X5 and have therefore had xenons conSISTENTLY since then.
Apologies for my inaccuracy.
The gist of what I'm saying, of course, is that I've at least experienced xenon-equipped cars for 6 years -- and had them regularly for nearly 2.5 yrs -- such that I can say with absolute conviction that I will NEVER own a car without them again.
Capiche?
