I have chrome wheels for my summer shoes, and I think as long as they're pretty darn close to looking as if they're stock then it's OK. I wrestled with the same question myself, as I thought chrome would be a bit too "blingy" or ostentatious, but they actually look pretty good! I went with 17" style 130 and am satisfied.
